Well, it turned out it was only a short chat that i got about talking to people. So I won't be doing that again, back to writing notes. If it sounds childish to people out there that I am reduced to writing notes to communicate with people at work, well, it is.
Also have to apply for a Technical Support Agent role now. If I'm going to ever get into IT this is my first step on the road. Need experience and by george I can get it from here.
I really don't have anything else to add. Oh, I may have solved the couch dilemna, just need to inspect the two couches that have been offered to me. And then decided if they're worth it as well, but we'll see. And I can't wait to get my credit card now. Exciting times.

notes are crucial. they keep you sane! as done any human contact in that place.. numsi told me what happened. grr! to the pub!!!! (it's always the answer)
What you need is a DS then you could PictoChat to everyone :)
On a side note, if the couches don't turn out to be an option check out these they're like bean bags on a whole new level! Hey you can even get them with drink holders! Obviously I'm pushing for the couches though :)
