Unreliable

*sigh* Some of the people i know are extremely unreliable. Maybe I'm being pedantic but when I plan something a couple of days in advance I intend that I'm going to go do it. Or if not then I'll let the other person/s know. Not leave it till I call to check it's still on and say "Oh, I've gone down to the Gold Coast for the weekend".

Moving away from their unreliability, it was so good to sleep in today. I managed 12 hours sleep which was fantastic. Didn't realise I was quite that tired. Yesterday was extremely busy. We won indoor cricket by 6 runs, so we were the best team on the monday night competition. Pity I couldn't enjoy it, was a great team to play with.

Kitchen looks fantastic with the new tiles. Unfortunately the walls now look terrible :) I guess that's step 3 in the kitchen renovation. Shouldn't take more then a year to do :) And hopefully we'll be able to put the fridge back in the kitchen soon.

Go karting was fantastic. Stalled the kart twice in pit lane before I got out but after that I was fine. Never realised just how hard it is to turn the buggers. Forgot there was no power steering :) We had a practice lap and then 3 races. During the practice lap I was just going around not trying too hard just for fun when Duncan overtook me. Well, considering he himself had told me he wasn't the quickest guy out there I refused to take that lying down. Followed him around for a lap and then overtook him. Ended up with the second fastest lap of anybody out there in that race. Which was a bit of a shock as I wasn't going particularly fast I didn't think. Anyway, after the 3 races I ended up coming 3rd which was fantastic as the two people ahead of me where much better then me. I put it down not to driving speed but to consistency and managing to avoid spinning out. Only spun out once and that cost me second place. But the good thing about that spin was Brad and Mick then spun out trying to avoid me. The problem with everybody else always spinning out to allow me in front meant I didn't get to do any great overtaking maneovours. The only one I did get was against Mick. After following him around for half a lap I finally got down the inside of him at one corner. I had a bit more speed then him after that so he didn't come back to challenge me. Fantastic night. I'm sure I could go faster next time, now I've got a podium finish I'll try and concentrate on just speed next time.

And the party wasn't actually a party but it was good to catch up with Sarah and Pete, so that's alright. Shame I had to go to Zillmere to do it that's all.

Well, that's enough for one post, I'm off to try and find some reliable friends to go do something with for the rest of the afternoon. Or, failing that play some burnout :)
