V8 Supercars 3!

I just had the most amazing game. Joju (Paul, Mick's brother) and I decided to have a bit of a whirl at the game as Mick's family was over. After going around on some other tracks we ended up on Symmon's Plains. After soundly whooping his ass a couple of times we settled on a quick 5 lap race around the circuit. I got a fantastic start and shot away for one lap but then he got the hang of the corners and caught up to me. For four laps it was side to side action. The best thing was the respect we showed each other as true professionals. Neither gave an inch but there was nothing that an official CAMS investigation could find to fault. On the final lap it's still going on but I'm holding grimly on to first position. I lose it slightly on the final turn before the home straight and get sideways. Joju sneaks past me on the outside but not quite enough. I give him a huge shove and spin him out and take the chequered flag!!

Sure in a real race I would have been disqualified, but it was a fantastic race all the way. Haven't enjoyed the game that much in yonks. Takes me back to the good old days when Mick and I would race around Bathurst. And him shoving me off at the final corner to win in an epic. Ah, the memories.

All in all a very agreeable end to the night. Was meant to meet up with some people who completely forgot about the meeting (but that's alright, Jesus still loves you) and ran into an old friend from work on the way home so I thought by most standards today was pretty good. It'll be interesting to see how tomorrow goes, really need to start on that knowledge base at work tomorrow. I think that will pretty much be all I do. Needs to be done. That is of course after I get my car fixed. That's going to be interesting. Will give more details when they are to hand.
