Housemates

Finding someone to live with is tricky. Especially when it's the third person moving into a relatively little room in a relatively little town house. Lisa and I have had quite a bit of interest in the room and quite a few people have come through. It's got to the stage that we're now starting to give them nicknames. Today, instead of 3 people we had one. We called him Lurch because of how tall he was. And since he was that tall we've decided he's too big for our munchkin house, so he's not in. Mummy's Boy and Princess have not arranged a time to come round and look at the room yet. Mummy's Boy problem is that he hasn't actually organised anything to do with the room. All the contact that we've had with him has been through his agent, aka his mum. Hence the nickname. By all accounts she's a nice person (Lisa has been dealing with her) so that's not really a problem. But I don't care where you're working, you should be able to organise things for yourself.

Princess on the other hand is not from Brisbane. She's starting a new job up here on the 2nd of October so would like to have a look at the room on the 30th of September..... This will be the first time she's lived out of home (we're guessing at that) so Princess is the best nickname we've got for her given we haven't actually met her.

I've decided that this blog will now become all about finding a room-mate in inner suburban Brisbane. At least it will until we find someone, then it will go back to being about nothing.

Some would say that that hasn't changed. But that depends on your perspective I guess.

Well, until the next inspection, stay fresh everyone.

BTW Mick now has a new blog. I've updated the link appropriately. This is in now way an endorsement of the new blog. It is merely for those who are interested.

I question why it is not an endorsement? My new blog not good enough for you huh? Well you and your spare room can go jump! :p

I agree with Mick - shame on you!

Mick has been traumatised for life now!

You obviously fail to appreciate the community service provided by Mick's blog, especially warning all about your VERY expensive tast in beer!

:-)

Surely Morningside isn't inner Brisbane?? It's practically suburbia.
