I used to enjoy it immensely. I'm currently playing Friday nights in the valley for a mixed team. Part of the reason I enjoy playing mixed is that I'm generally close to being the best player on the court. Which makes the whole thing more enjoyable :) Lately I haven't been enjoying it though, so I'm going to give it up I think. Which is a shame as it is a lot of fun. Especially as the courts are so big you can actually get some passing into the game instead of having to have really good close in skills like at Salisbury. It also doesn't help that I've got poker on this Friday and a game of indoor and can't combine the two. That and the fact the captain (and glue) of the team is leaving for Canberra. Which, for me anyway, is a good and bad thing :) The replacements we've had just haven't been as good, their knowledge of where and when to make the runs just isn't there and it's frustrating. Still, there are a couple of weeks left where I'll think about playing for.
That and AFL training starts this Tuesday, so it's time for people to start putting up their hands and start playing. As previously stated, there have been a lot of people who have expressed interest in playing AFL and Tuesday is the first time to test their commitment. One person (not mentioning names Brad) has a previous commitment on Tuesday nights. That leaves three others who I don't know about yet. Given that I have the option of still playing soccer next year (and the more I don't play the more I want to) I really want some commitment put in. Which is going to be interesting when things turn from just an idea in peoples head into something they have to get out of the house to do. I'm expecting at least one person to pike. But we'll see, I may be pleasantly surprised.
And at some point I am going to redo the css for this blog, after designing a site for mum I now have a much better feel of how to create a workable site using just css. And it will be readable by anybody, the current css for this template isn't designed very well. It gets all kind of unexpected errors when you change something due to it being poorly written. That doesn't mean it doesn't do what it was originally designed for, it just means that it isn't well designed for making changes. So if I had more time I'd make it all better :)

I'd like to point out at this time that when training was mentioned on Sunday you didn't exactly sound very enthusiastic yourself... in fact you sounded so disinterested I was sure you had no intention of going.
I plan on going... even if it will give me a heart attack...
I'd also like to point ou that leaving Brad msgs within your blog is pointless as he flat out refuses to participate in blog culture... like a few other of our friends who I am equally disappointed in, in that regard.
That was then, this is now :) I wasn't too keen on the day, but I wasn't too keen on anything Saturday, wasn't a good day. And you weren't meant to read that until after I'd tried to drum up interest via email tomorrow :)
As for getting people involved in blog culture, it's not our fault their luddites :) I do however know that Brad reads the blogs every now and then.....
