I've thought about this. No idea why I have, but I have. Generally, the reason is because I am so busy that when I'm home I feel like not thinking, and typing out thoughts takes time and effort that could be used doing other things.
But one thing that needs discussing is Dream Team. AFL Dream Team that is. This is (I think) my fourth year of contesting, and definitely my best prepared year. I've selected a team that I think will do very well. We've got a lot of people in the league who have been playing for a while so I don't think there will be any easy games this year. There are several players that most people will have, but after that it comes down to gut feelings and luck. Not being a huge AFL fan like some of my other friends I struggle at times to pick as good a side, but I'm happy with what I've got.
Still, the season starts tomorrow and I can finally find out how well I've done picking my side. I resisted the urge to get several players I've nearly always picked (sorry LRT, Brownie, Mecurial) so there's a lot of players I have no attachment for, and who are just points per week to me. It feels odd. Of course, there are the players I've had for several seasons....I just want the waiting to be over!
