Grudge match

Wow it's been busy lately.

Dream team is up to the third round of matches. Last week I lost, once again to the top score of the round. There is nobody out there with more points scored against, and I have the second highest points for. But I'm yet to win a match.

This week however is the annual grudge match against Mick. So far this year my team has been scoring better then his on all but one week. I've strengthened my team quite a lot this week and I'm confident of cracking 1900, if not the elusive 2000. It'd be good to actually beat Mick after he's beaten me every other year.

Apart from that, I went to Townsville and Cairns during the week to help run some Joomla training courses. Interesting little airports, quite nice actually. What I found most odd was that a place I went to get dinner from in Townsville was shutting up at 630pm. Sure it was a Tuesday night but that's ridiculous. I can highly recommend the Best Western at Woree in Cairns, very nice rooms and the food there was fantastic. It was a long way out of town so wasn't going to go in there to get dinner, but the restaurant they had there was very nice.

As for soccer, I had to miss training as I was out of town, but we managed to beat Acacia Ridge 11-0, putting us top of the table. We're playing Clairvaux today who are currently 3rd on the table, so it's not going to be an easy game. Should be fun though.

Still looking for somewhere to live, will keep people informed on the progress of that....
