The weekend

We lost the Grand Final 2-1 after being up 1 nil. I have blisters on both feets, very little skin left on my left knee but I can deal with the physical pain. But I really wanted to win that one last game. Not to be.

As for the job, still no news. I will call them tonight. I did talk to a recruiting agent friend of a friend, and from what he says it sounds like the company is being slow about things, not that they're lying to me. Not that he ruled out the possibility, but he did say that's what it sounded like to him.

The car has been written off. They were doing handbrake turns in it (which is a lot of fun) and they burnt out the clutch, flat-spotted the tyres which on top of everything else resulted in it costing too much to repair. So I will be getting a phone call from the insurance people to sort out how I get the money. I've got to sort out how I get given the money as well, considering it'll be coming via cheque and I won't be able to cash it myself...so that's another thing to add to the list to fix. I've seen a lot of people for one last time over the weekend, I'm hoping to drop in and see all my other friends either tonight or tomorrow. Getting excited again.

And the Matilda's lost 3-2 to Brazil. Honestly they were never really in it, and they've done well to get this far. Their game plan relies far too much on long balls to be honest. They have a lot of talent in the middle of the park, and I think they should have used it more often then they did. Then again, I'm not a coach :)

So, second last day in Brisbane...have to go do a lot of things so that I can just sit down and do nothing tomorrow :) More updates soon.
