It's been a while between posts, but that's mainly due to disappointment. We played against Nottingham in Aussie Rules, and unlike the last game we got absolutely spanked 13 - 126. We didn't have a good side as many players didn't show up, and they were just too good. We ended up with quite a few injuries out of the game as well, so much so that we seemed to have more injured Tuesday night then were actually fit. I'd like to say there were some highlights from the game, but I can't remember doing anything particularly. A few times I dropped the ball when I should have held on to it, that would have helped.
We were also supposed to be playing down in Bristol this weekend, but had to call that off due to lack of numbers. Because I badly twisted my ankle I'm not too upset about that. Doesn't mean I'm happy either though.
Now on to the good things. I've looked at my calendar, and I'm not going to be home much for every other weekend during the summer. Cologne is coming up (meeting a friend over there), going down to see my uncles next weekend, so it's not just AFL that I'm doing. Work has been good lately, I've been given a bit more responsibility and I'm doing more coding work, which makes me happy. I won the battle with the insurance company over my no claims discount, and I can guarantee I won't be with them next year. Euro 2008 is on, and there have been some great games to watch. And Australia are currently beating Qatar 3-0, which means we're through to the next stage. The weather remains good. It was a bit windy today, but still warm enough that I wasn't cold.
Anyway, just wanted to update people with some things that have been happening. Nothing else to talk about really, just plan holidays now.
