And Go Ape

So I forgot to change the subject before posting last night...I was
tired and sick of typing.

So last weekend, I went camping in the Lake District (yes it rained
almost the entire time) and did Go Ape. Which is basically climbing
with harnesses through some platforms set in the trees and flying down
zip wires. The reason for this was it was a guys from Aussie Rules
31st birthday, so it was as good an excuse as anything else. It was
seriously a lot of fun, I did my Tarzan impersonation while going down
the flying foxes, which I hope went down well and made people laugh.
It was quite hard to get the yodel right...

So after getting soaking wet doing that, it was time to head to the
camp site. It stopped raining long enough to get the tent up, and then
we had a bbq. And Carlton Cold. I'd forgotten just how nice tasting it
was, and I'm not the only one who said that. It probably helps that
they were ice cold. Great night, full of disgusting anecdotes and
things were said that should never be said. Lets just say that I think
we've found the ultimate 'Would You Rather' question.

Woke up early in the morning, and despite the showers went for a quick
walk up the stream to see what I could see. Would have been better if
the sun was out, but still very pretty.

So that's that weekend in a nutshell...you really had to be there to enjoy it.

Future plans still include trying to learn German. I've booked my
flights back home, so I will be in Australia for most of december and
half of January, which should be brilliant. Going to Cork this
weekend, which should be Ace. And then there's Aussie Rules the
weekend after (Grouse!). 2 Games (Choice!). How long can I keep going
till I run out of superlatives? Not far enough, as it's 630pm and I've
had enough of work for one day.
