Whoops

Didn't realise it had been over a month. Would have been nice to know. I really should keep up to date with it.

So, what's happened? I can't remember that far back, which is why I will need to check my calendar*. It has been pretty busy at work, and I haven't been happy about that. I don't like worrying about work when I'm not there, and that has happened a bit lately. More on that later....

Ok, so EdFest, just after I last blogged. Drunken night of revelry, which was fun. Ed was turning 30, there was a band, I believe I was originally going to be playing but that didn't end up happening. Maybe next time.

Big B (Brenton) and Emma got married the weekend after that. Which was great! Mainly because I got Friday off work and I look good in a suit. I wore a pink shirt, which doesn't happen very often. I may or may not have stolen all the Koala clips available and attached them to my tie. And there were freckles, so many freckles! But the fun didn't end there, the next night was an engagement party and then Wes' going away party. He's gone back home for a couple of months, when he gets back the 2 of us will be finding somewhere to live in Northenden. In Manchester. So needless to say that weekend was a complete washout, but was great fun. The wedding was great, it was great to see Matt and Ness happy and engaged.

Next weekend was a recovery weekend, given all the partying that had gone on it was necessary.

So, we're up to September 27/28. That was originally down as a weekend in Liverpool with a mate, but I'd forgotten about the Grand Final. Hawks v Cats. Given the timezone, I didn't watch it live, but the game started at 930am. I decided to wait till quarter time for my first drink...but I may have been the only 1 who did. Was a great game, and being neutral I didn't mind who won. After the game, there was some minor celebration followed by the Mozzies award presentation. It was a great summers day, so we sat outside and drank cider. Everybody won a prize/certificate, and I got newcomer of the year, which is great! Next year I want Best and Fairest, but I would have to play every game to get that. I missed a few, which may have hurt my chances. After that...well, there was more drinking. And bbq. Eventually crashed out at 2am, which meant that was a solid session. Best thing is, I now own a straw hat :)

Needless to say, I didn't get to Liverpool. Sorry Jon.

And I think that's enough for this post. I went to Berlin last weekend, but that requires a bit more work to think about, plus I'd need to upload photos. Which I haven't done as I'm lazy. They're on my mac, and they're backed up. But not online...soon. But basically Berlin was great, I feel cultured.

* i.e. A piece of paper with each weekend written on it.
