Achievements

There have been a few things worthy of mention happening on this weekend.

We now have a pool table in our living room. How cool is that? Nik & Kat are having renovations done to their house, and Nik had to 'get rid' of the pool table. Understandably, selling it on Ebay was not his preferred option, so it ended up at our house. Bonza! It takes up surprisingly little space, and we've got it so you can hit the ball normally from every edge. It's brilliant!

For the record, Nik won the first game. And the second.

Secondly, first Aussie Rules training for the year. We got a huge number down (20), of course a lot were from Huddersfield, but it's looking very promising for this year. There is always the worry about whether people will turn up or not, 2 new guys from Manchester were there and looked keen to be back, 1 from Liverpool was also keen. So we may actually not have any problems organising a team! Hopefully a few more English come down, keep the game running. But we'll see.

Lastly, and best, is that I played Guitar Hero World Tour on Sat night. Relegated to Bass, I managed a perfect score on Medium. Sure it's not on the hard difficulty, but it's still an achievement :) Very happy at that geeky milestone, I've never managed 100% before. Any tips on how to get up to hard? That fifth button is a killer, I've only got 4 fingers!
