Getting up to date

It's hard to do. At this point I don't remember all the things I've
done. I hope it comes back to me as I type!

First weekend in June was up in the lake district for Nik's birthday.
Camping. Due to the rain, it was full of midges and little insects. It
was a good night regardless, and it was good to do something
different. The really bad thing is that we lost my camera, so I have
no photos from the weekend. Since it hasn't turned up now, it's
unlikely it's ever going to turn up. The barn we stayed in was very
isolated, and didn't have hot water. Or a toilet. It's good to rough
it every now and then to realise just how good beds are.

Continuing the theme of never staying home, the next weekend was in
Dublin, capital of the Republic of Ireland. We went over to see
Riverdance, and also to meet up with Cara's friend Irene. We got there
late Friday and spent Saturday sight seeing. The book of Kells,
Trinity College and the Guinness Factory were all toured. Riverdance
was really good, and is definitely worth seeing. I didn't think I'd
enjoy it, but it was the highlight of the trip, as good as Guinness is
:)

Once again, no photos because I have no camera :(

The next weekend we got to stay in Manchester, which made for a
pleasant change.

Then we had 2 more weekends playing Aussie Rules. We won both,
defeating our local rivals in the process. There was talk about if we
won both games we would make the finals. Unfortunately, a forfeit by a
London team (who should have no problems fielding a team) meant we
missed out on percentage.

Otherwise, not much else happening. The job is the same it always has
been, nothing to complain about and every now and then something
exciting happens. We'll see how that continues. I need to start
looking for some flights back home, as I've been given time off work
over December if I can get the flights. So I must do that. Very soon.

The other thing to look forward to is an Android powered phone. I have
no idea when I will get one, but sometime this month the Samsung i7500
(Galaxy) should be available in the UK. Once I've played with it and
seen what it's like, I may actually buy it. I am in the market for a
new camera after all ....

Stay excellent!
