no blog. Well, not even a week, but it feels like a long time. At work we've got one day left of this campaign. We were supposed to go straight into a new campaign, but that has been postponed till next week. Which means I have two days of doing M&DS full time *ominous echo*ON THE FLOOR*ominous echo off*. *lightning* I haven't done a full 8 hour floor shift since, oooh, before I went to Orange Mobile. That was over a year ago, almost a year and a half. When I came back I was a Senior and there was always floorwalking to do so I never actually completed a full floor shift as we've been over-staffed for so long you could always get E-time or I was doing something else. It will make me suffer like nothing else has ever made me suffer before. Hopefully I'm still sane when I come out the other side. The advantage is that I am trained as a Senior so if others go home on E-time I can fill the slack. But we'll see what actually happens. And if there's no E-blocks.....there will be blood.
On happier news, I went swimming this morning. Very sore but I feel accomplished. Forced myself through 18 laps. It was probably only about 40 minutes of swimming but it felt like a definite work out. Only stopped because I was losing my strokes and starting to swallow water. Swallowing pool water is never a good thing because you're never entirely sure what's in there. Well, you do know, you just don't know how much of it is.
Incidentally, Vanessa won her grand final on Sunday. You would have thought one of my other siblings would have mentioned it, but since we were all there it does seem a tiny bit pointless. Personally, I found the game frustrating. I don't agree with the 4-5-1 formation used, especially in that league as it relies on counter-attacking and I think the team looked better when they passed it around more in midfield. Still, it was a solid defensive effort to keep the other team to only 1 goal. Vanessa's team equalised and suddenly it's 1-1, then extra time and then it went to penalties. Vanessa took the first one and the keeper saved it. Which was a bad start. The fact that her teams keeper then saved the next 3 was fantastic and ultimately why they won.
Anyway, that's enough post for one day. Lots of other things I could talk about, but I think I really need to sleep now. Stupid Ashes.

Ben, I took the SECOND penalty. Emma took the first (we both missed and thanks for your understanding!)
I personally think the 1-5-4 would have worked, if the wingers would just remember they weren't forwards and played like we were taught. Goodness only know that the centre mids were happy with the situation ... :)
