Of shoes and ships

and ceiling wax, and other sundry things.

I went and sat in a new and an old mx-5 on the weekend. The problem I had was that it was one with the leather pack so now I'm going to judge everything against that. Not too keen on the position of the gearstick but without actually driving it I don't think it's something I can judge. Looks like it'd be fine with the automatic but that adds money to the cost. So all in all I may end up getting an older one at this rate. Or just not get one and save up for something else. We'll see what ends up happening there.

Last night I broke a chair at Amanda and Tom's. I wasn't even doing anything other then sitting in it. Then there was a great big crack and suddenly I'm on the floor. So the chair is currently sitting in a corner of the house so that I can show them it's not my fault it's broken when they get back. I just hope their plant survives cause it's not having a good time. It's not like I'm not watering it, it's just slowly dying. I'm a bit worried that I might be watering it too much but I think it's just the heat getting to it. I hope. I didn't have all that much to do and then I go and kill the plant. Lovely.

Vanessa has a new job somewhere to, so yay her. I'm a little curious about what's going to happen to me when my contract runs out as the position hasn't even been advertised yet. That's a worry as I've gotten used to the income :) I'm sure I can find a new job without any hassles though. But it's still a worry.

Anyway, that just means I should go and apply for this permanent job I spoke about last time. Enough procrastinating, I still have to make myself a coffee before I can do that :)

We are not worried about the chair. They have been threatening to break for a while. If you break them all, then we would have an excuse to buy new ones.
