Reading

In the quite long period of time that I've been doing serious reading (about 15 years or so) I've developed a bad habit or two. None is more frustrating then picking up a book, reading for a bit, looking at the page number I'm up to and then putting it down for a day or two. In all this time I can honestly say I don't think I'd need to take my shoes and socks off to count how many times I've remembered that page number. Currently it is 161.

In the face of such a bad memory why do I persist in this habit? I don't know. But it's very annoying. I even have bookmarks sitting around doing nothing. Lazy lazy me.
