Instincts

For a long time now I've had a certain philosophy. Basically, a long time ago now I read this article that said that people make up their mind in a split second but then spend all their time trying to come up with a logical reason to do what they want.

So I decided to try and become more in touch with what I was thinking at the time, and ignore the whole idea of finding a reason to do something. So these days I don't come up with a reason to do something, I just do it. I still like to think about the reason behind things but I trust what I'm feeling at the time. So that's why I sometimes do things when it doesn't appear I've thought about it. That's pretty much because I haven't :)

So. I was getting some vibes last week about something, and it turned out I was right. So go go instincts :) So when I got a vibe on Sunday which I didn't like, I decided to ignore it. Which was foolish because the vibe was right.

The basic gist of this is to get people to trust their instincts. Deep down we are all still just animals and we are still ruled by our sub conscious. So trust your instincts. Even when it's not what you want.

I used to trust mine.

Turned out they were wrong too often for my likeing. Guess I must have bad instints!

Maybe I am confusing instinct with judgement. Maybe its just my judgement that is bad.

As a ENFP (Myers Briggs personality type) I am very perceptive but unfortunately as the ENFP profile states - prone to errors when I try to apply judgement to that perception.

Bet your Myers Briggs personality profile does not say you are prone to errors of judgement.

Bet you have a "J" in your profile!
There is none in mine, maybe that is the crucial difference that makes your instinct better than mine.
