Minor premiers!

Well, with two rounds to go we've wrapped up the minor premiership. For those who aren't entirely aware, I am captain of Park Ridge's Metro 1 reserve team. It's been a good year and it's shown by the fact we're 6 points clear. And with a great goal difference. As our last round is a bye, next week is our last game but technically we can't be beaten. So it's all just a matter of getting it right for the finals now. It looks like we're going to have a settled backline and as long as the two guys who are wide start concentrating a bit more we should be good.

In the top team game, it got abandoned due to an all in brawl. I'm pretty certain one of our guys ended up with a broken cheek...it didn't look good. And I'm actually in Brisbane for an entire week for a change, which is going to be good. None of this flying around the state (until next week anyway) so I should be able to finalise everything I need for my trip away this week.

Also, congratulations are in order to Mick for kicking 3 goals on the weekend in his (possibly) last game of AFL this week. And in the 'it could only happen to Duncan' files, in his first and only game of AFL, he managed one possession but probably tore his miniscus AND Anterior Cruciate Ligament. He's a ticking timebomb of injury just waiting to go off. Here's hoping it's not quite that bad.
