The Phoney War begins

After firing a shot across his bows yesterday, Mick has responded in kind. And it's on like donkey kong bi-yatch!

You can find his blog there.

Also, some uninteresting person sent me a link to Mr Rudd's campaign speech. http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/story/0,23739,22758200-5013650,00.html If he actually delivers on the promises he's put forward in this speech I will be very impressed, and not being able to vote in the lower house election while over here makes me upset that I can't support his vision for a better Australia. Of course, I'm still cynical enough to not believe it will all happen but I think it's a step in the right direction.

The other interesting piece of news that has hit my rss feed today is the first production fuel cell vehicle. http://automobiles.honda.com/fcx-clarity/ Sadly only available in California, but it's a great step in the right direction. While nay-sayers will (rightly) point out the amount of power needed to create hydrogen, you've got to start somewhere. Once large scale hydrogen use starts, storage ability will increase (look at mobile technology), and with some forward thinking renewable energy sources should be used to create this hydrogen. And then hopefully the price will start to come down.

Exciting time to live :)
