Once more on the exploring England front, I went to Leeds. Not much to say about it really. Cheap to get to :) Cold, lots of shopping all close together. Wasn't terribly exciting, apart from the protest outside the corn exchange. Apparently it's being shut down, so somebody organised a bunch of high school students to come down and protest about it. They were noisy, not terribly passionate and I don't think they knew what they were on about. But they got to show off for their friends and have photos taken which they can put up on Facebook...and isn't that what counts?
Continuing my cultural trend, I also went to the Royal Armouries museum. Good way to spend a couple of hours, quite a lot of medieval history and lots and lots of weapons. Quite empty as well, which was a little surprising. Wandered around, had a look at all the sharp weapons, all the blunt ones, all the others ones as well. At least it was warm :) Windy outside so it wasn't terribly pleasant. Leeds also has the largest indoor market in England....and typical of those type of markets, wasn't very interesting. There was a lot of cheap butchers though, so if I lived in Leeds and wanted cheap food I'd be shopping there. Thankfully, I don't live in Leeds.
After that, I wandered around for a bit longer looking for either a) KFC or b) The original Harry Ramsden fish and chip store. I didn't find either, which was mildly annoying. I did however buy some fresh cinnamon donuts...very tasty. So I was happy about that.
So I've uploaded the photos, and by now you should know where to find them. I've got a few other photos which I'll hopefully upload during the week, nothing terribly interesting. I do want to get some photos of the house I live in, including room-mates just so people have an idea of what I'm doing. I may actually take a video just to try something else interesting.
And to finish this post, to update on previous weeks activity, nothing further is going to happen. I am going to go watch the Liverpool Reserves play Everton Reserves tonight, so that could be fiery. This time I'm going to buy something to eat before I get there....horrible horrible pies for sale there. Anyway, have fun y'all.
