photos up....but that's not happening anytime soon. It will happen,
because I am soon to be the owner of a macbook (where's my upgrade
Steve?!?) and then I can have a lot more time to do the tagging,
describing, etc of photos.
Anyway, the Christmas period has been briefly glossed over. There's
not much else to tell really. I met some cousins at Uncle David's
place, who I will try and meet up with next time I'm in London. The
other thing I did learn that spending an entire week wandering around
a strange town on your own isn't much fun. Luckily I met up with Anne
during the break which was fantastic, great to see a familiar face. By
the time I got to Brighton I was pretty over the whole trip (I was
also very hung over on the day, which didn't help). Did quite a bit of
walking around, and it looks like a fantastic place to be in a warmer
month. As seaside towns go it gave me a much better impression then
Blackpool ever did. And did I mention that track work meant my 6 hour
trip home became a 10 hours? Involving 5 changes, including Victoria
station which was incredibly busy on the day.
Alright, on to new stuff. I'm moving again! Claire is getting her
sister to move in, so I'm out. She gave me a months notice, so that's
not bad. I'm moving closer to town, I think it's a slightly smaller
room, but it will have broadband. Which I'm sure my macbook will
appreciate.
Jobwise, we're very busy. But I get to do some php programming and I'm
enjoying that. Most of the time I'm busy which is good, working longer
hours then I ever had before.
Also, I've found an AFL club to join! Sure, pre-season starts next
month, the season starts in April and it's only 9 a side (played on a
rugby field) but it's a start. That should get me nice and fit, and
hopefully not too injured. I like to think that the training won't be
as bad as at was at Yeronga....I didn't do any of the hard stuff, and
for that I am glad. Sure I'd prefer to be playing football, but the
English (here at least) are very clannish and it's awfully hard to
find a club in the middle of a season. So maybe next season.
Alright, that's a decent update for the moment I think. I'll blog
again after Australia day (I've found a pub called 'The Uluru Bar'
where I shall be spending the arvo). Probably. I should also probably
start taking some stuff over to the new digs....it's a thought :) I
think we all know I won't though.
