Skiing - Wednesday

Two things. I'm sunburnt and I've uploaded photos. They're even in an order that should make sense to everyone :)

Today, we didn't learn much, apart from how to get up if we wall in strange places. Really was just practising turning, which I'm pretty happy with as long as I don't go too fast. For lunch I went up the top of a mountain (hence the photos) with a South African girl who is in the same learner group. Much more fun skiing with some people rather then on your own. Not sure what I'll do tomorrow as the rest of her group is back and I think she'll be going off with them instead. So while we were up there we practised on the slope that we're going to try tomorrow morning. For the rest of the afternoon I want to get some sun cream, as it's a little painful at the moment. I've been meaning to do that for a while, so now is as good a time as any.

This skiing thing is pretty tiring though. I'm using muscles I haven't used before (in the arms, pushing myself along) and they're protesting. Plus there hasn't been any snow for a while (it is late in the season) so the snow down by the resorts isn't brilliant. In fact it's pretty bad. Hopefully there will be some snow tomorrow, which will make everything good. Up the top it's good, there was some snow up there last night and you can really feel the difference. The runs are a lot harder there though. I'm really quite content on the green runs, it is just the difference in length of runs and the quality of the snows which makes me want to get better so I can do some of the harder runs.

Anyway, not much else to report. Will write more tomorrow (possibly).

The last one falls - all three of you in the same year - where did I go wrong? All those years inflicting SPF 15 have failed! Keep smiling, son, through the pain.
