So to sum up the skiing, I ended up being a fairly confident skier by the end of the week. I'm not that keen to go again, I will go if a group is going, but I'm not so enamoured with the idea that I'll go on my own again. All the good photos are up on flickr. Future photos will be tagged, hopefully that will make it easy to find them, I'll figure that out later. I did get snowed on on the final day, which was cool. It was very cold, I'm not sure I wanted to repeat the experience, but on Monday on my way to work I got snowed on. I should have had my thermals on.
At home, the other room-mate has moved out, leaving Rob, Michelle and me. I never met him during my time there (2 months), which is a little odd. But I can live with that. I've put out my feelers for a 5-a-side football side so that should start soon, and I've still got AFL, so I'm set for my sport for the next 6 months. I've even got a trivia team sorted, so things are coming up milhouse :)
On the deep thinking front, I've found 2 articles which I think are worth sharing. http://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/the-phoney-battle-of-the-codes-107556/ This one is from Les Murray, the elder statesman of Australian Soccer (RIP Johnny Warren). He makes some interesting points about the rival codes in Australia that are worth reading if you've got nothing better to do. http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/driving/features/article3458479.ece This one is Jay Leno on cars and the environment. He's not quite as radical as Jeremy Clarkson, he makes some points that I'd never thought about so it's also worth reading.
Finally, if you've ever wanted to stop burglars, this is how it's done. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article3485931.ece
