Ow!

My hammys are still sore from Sunday. But the point of this post is self-congratulation really. Last night I was thinking about what on Earth I could do for dinner, given I had a huge number of veggies left over from Fridays meal (yes, I didn't eat dinner at home either Saturday or Sunday). So I decided I'd chop them all up, get some rice and a stir through sauce and see how it went. It was incredibly tasty, so I felt the need to say good on me :)

I've got a cold, and it keeps hanging around. Thanks for the echinacea Jamie, but I don't know if it's doing any good. I've got a headache, sore legs (I think that was training though) and generally miserable. It's nowhere near as bad as the one I had at Christmas but I hate being sick. Especially as it's not bad enough to get out of work, so I have to walk here. I have to walk because the bike is stuffed...I think I'll have to take it to the shop and get new tyres put on, and new inner tubes. The rear tyre went flat on Friday, and I got a new tube. Put that on Monday, and on the way to work today (Tuesday) it went flat. I also hadn't tightened the nut enough, so it went wonky and kept braking, which made for some fun power slides :) But I don't want to talk to work, so I shall update the bike. We can rebuild it, we have the technology.

Apart from that, I'm looking into going to Dublin this weekend. No exact plans yet, and I will be back in England for St Patricks day (monday) but it's worth looking into. I watched the NAB cup final last night too....good to watch some AFL again. It just wouldn't be the Saints without someone missing easy shots at goal would it? I think I've noticed the player that everybody (and I mean EVERYBODY) will be having on their team this year, based on one certain performance. Then again, you never can tell...some people might actually pick Tredrea again. I'm looking at you Duncan.

Long time readers will no doubt be aware of the infatuation I have with AFL dream team....new readers will no doubt become accustomed :)

And I am in love with my phone. I charge it every five days, it's got Nokia predictive text (so it works) and generally it's bright and cheerful. It's basically a Toyota Aygo compared to a Lexus LS300 (or something equally luxurious). Not as good mechanically or technologically, but it does the job as well as I want it. So I'm quite happy, and hopefully I'm over my whole advanced mobile phone fixation that I used to have. I think I have the iPhone to thank for that...very un-impressive piece of kit, as it doesn't do what I want it to....but there is always the future :) It took me until iPod nano v2 before I wanted one, so we'll see what Apple have in store for me.

Sorry there are no pics, I don't go out every weekend :)
