have their leaves back and spring is in the air, you can smell all the
pollen and freshly mown grass. It's pretty nice. I'm not going so far
as to not wear a jumper as it is still a little on the chilly side,
but I can see why having different seasons is a good thing. Makes you
appreciate the good ones more :) Cycling to work this morning I
deliberately went slow just to enjoy the ride more. There are now
officially hedgerows next to one of the back roads I take, and they're
in bloom. Must remember to watch out for Bees!
This weekend is the second AFL game of the year. In Nottingham.
Unfortunately we're not staying the night as there is something else
on so it's back to Manchester for the night out. Which really doesn't
bother me at all, should be a good night regardless of where it is.
I'm still playing in the ruck, which I think is half to do with my
fitness, and half height. So the plan is for my to put up a contest in
the ruck (I rarely win) and then run around and help out the midfield
guys. Hopefully help the team win, this team is apparently pretty good
and we've lost one of our midfielders to injury. We've got a fair few
new guys coming down so numbers are good, experience isn't that high.
Should be a good game. If I can kick a goal I'll be happy, but I don't
think that is very likely. I'm starting to get excited again though,
which is a good sign.
Nothing else to report, hope everyone had a good long weekend (if in
QLD or England). As for the rest of you, I'm sure there will be more
coming up :)
