Champion!

I've won my first trophy over here. I'm part of the Pennine League
Championship winning St Lawrences side. Gaelic football. Although my
part in the game was small I still feel I made a constructive
contribution. I was subbed on, ran 10 yards and then the whistle went
for full time. The term time waster has never been more aptly used....

In Aussie Rules. we drew 4.7 to 4.7. Only one game as the other team
forfeited. I missed one shot on goal but I did take some strong marks,
so I'm generally happy with the performance. Hopefully we can scrape
together enough players for this weekends games in London. It's
looking iffy at the moment, but we'll find out by tonight if we can.

Anyway, just a short update. Trying to learn German after 3 weeks of
not listening is remarkably hard...so I'm going to sit down and listed
to the 3rd CD a couple of times. I keep getting my verbs confused. If
nothing else, I've gotten a better grasp of the English language by
doing the lessons, which is a little odd. Silver lining and all
that...
