Brilliant. That's from my work to-do list.
Rome was great. Great to see Mum and Dad again after all this time, good to feel warm (even though it didn't last, and great to see all the history. Sure there were some down parts (the getting torrentially rained on wasn't brilliant) but overall there was so much to do that a week isn't long enough. My highlight was the Church of San Clemente. 2 catholic churches, 1 mithraic temple and 1 Roman manor house. Incredible the amount of history underneath Rome.
The only disappointment is that we didn't get to either Pompeii or Ostia Antica, but there is always next time. I'm not going to go into a blow by blow account of the week, I have the good photos up in the usual spots, and as I should be seeing or have seen all those interested in the rest of the photos (that weren't as good and therefore haven't been posted) I can go through them with anybody interested when I next see them.
Christmas rapidly approaching, I have most of my presents organised. Most, but not all. Now it is just a matter of time waiting for them to arrive, so that I can pack them. And due to the amount of stuff I'm getting (thanks Jacqui!) I will definitely need to bring a second bag with me. Hopefully I can fill it with stuff on the way back, which given I'm picking up a whole bunch of Aussie Rules stuff shouldn't be hard.
Anyway, short post. I don't plan on blogging too much in the future, I don't really have the time to do it. Or inclination. So don't expect regular updates, but then again, with 2 notable exceptions nobody does blog regularly anymore. So I'm in good company :)
